What this issue means
A print-ready PDF is the measured output, not the source application's preset name. Preserve the source, export a new file and verify it against the exact book specification.
What BookPreflight checks
- Final page count, trim and bleed
- Embedded fonts and effective image resolution
- No encryption, printer marks or unintended pages
How to correct the source file
- 1
Freeze the book specification and save the editable source.
- 2
Export a new PDF with controlled settings.
- 3
Run a complete page-level preflight and correct the source if needed.
Verify the exported PDF, not the preset name
Keep the editable source and original PDF. Export a new file, run the complete scan again and review every remaining finding. A repair is only labelled safe after loss checks and a full deterministic post-flight.
