What this issue means
The checker reads PDF page geometry, fonts, placed-image resolution and print zones. Results name the affected page, measured value, expected value and versioned rule instead of returning a generic pass or fail.
What BookPreflight checks
- Page boxes, trim size and declared bleed
- Inside, outside, top and bottom margin evidence
- Embedded fonts, effective image DPI and cover geometry
How to correct the source file
- 1
Choose the binding, trim, paper and bleed used for the book.
- 2
Upload the final exported PDF, not the editable source file.
- 3
Review page-level evidence and only apply fixes marked safe after post-flight.
Verify the exported PDF, not the preset name
Keep the editable source and original PDF. Export a new file, run the complete scan again and review every remaining finding. A repair is only labelled safe after loss checks and a full deterministic post-flight.
