What this issue means
Word documents often change pagination when fonts, printer settings or section definitions differ. Final checks must use the exported PDF and the page count that will be paired with the cover.

Set the final trim size before finishing layout.

Verify the exported PDF, not the preset name
Keep the editable source and original PDF. Export a new file, run the complete scan again and review every remaining finding. A repair is only labelled safe after loss checks and a full deterministic post-flight.
