Is the image bleed or a margin error?
Separate intentional full bleed from an image that accidentally enters a protected margin.

What this issue means
An image touching trim is not automatically wrong. The selected bleed mode and whether the image reaches the bleed boundary determine whether it is intentional or incomplete.

How to correct the source file

Extend true backgrounds to the required bleed boundary.

Move captions and important image content into the safe area.

Export without downsampling below the intended print resolution.
Verify the exported PDF, not the preset name
Keep the editable source and original PDF. Export a new file, run the complete scan again and review every remaining finding. A repair is only labelled safe after loss checks and a full deterministic post-flight.
